The annual Sohn India conference, managed and executed by 70 EMG
The Sohn Conference Foundation is dedicated to the treatment and cure of pediatric cancer and other childhood diseases. The Foundation supports cutting-edge medical research, state-of-the-art research equipment, and innovative programs to ensure children with cancer survive and thrive. The Foundation honors the memory of Ira Sohn, a talented Wall Street professional whose life was cut short when he passed away from cancer at the age of 29. Setup in 1995 by Ira’s family & friends, the Sohn Foundation has raised over $80 million in critical funds to treat and cure childhood cancer.
At the 2nd Annual Sohn India Investment Conference, top Indian investors convened for a day of fresh market insights and spoke about new and compelling investment ideas. Across the day, 10 stalwarts of the investment space in India gave us insights on what is going on in the market. The list of speakers included Raamdeo Agarwal, Joint Managing Director – MotilalOswal Financial Services, Navneet Munot, Executive Director & Chief Investment Officer – SBI Mutual Fund, Sunil Singhania, CIO Equity Investments – Reliance Mutual Fund, Shankar Sharma, Founder and Head of Global Strategy – First Global,and many more.
Going beyond just the insights, the Sohn conference made its mark as a truly different conference, with popular Bollywood numbers sprucing up speaker introductions, and food spanning cuisines across the country being served to the guests at live stations in the buffet. Indian ethos & a celebration of the spirit of charity behind the conference were the two key principles behind elements such as marigold centerpieces, or safas for the waiting staff.

Since 1995, the Conference has brought together fresh insights and money-making ideas to benefit the Sohn Conference Foundation’s work to end childhood cancer. The flagship Sohn Investment Conference takes place annually in NYC and has expanded its investment forums to include Canada, Hong Kong, London, San Francisco and Tel Aviv.
In its 2nd edition, the Sohn India Conference witnessed a crowd of 600+ members of the Indian investors community who extended their support towards the cause of pediatric cancer research. Funds from the India Conference went to support cutting-edge pediatric cancer care at the Tata Memorial Centre in Mumbai, recognized as one of the leading cancer centers in South Asia.
