Tired of waiting in long queues to withdraw money from ATMs?
Immediately after demonetization, queuing up outside banks and ATMs had turned, more or less, into a national pastime.
While most of us grumbled about the long waits, one ATM not only guaranteed you happiness but even awesome food.
KFC India launched its all new ‘Nashville Chicken’ which was previously introduced in the American market earlier this year.
The company installed an ATM in Cyber Hub, Gurgaon dispensing ‘Nashville Dollars’ which could be produced at the nearest KFC outlet in return for free KFC Nashville Chicken.
Similar ATM booths were also installed in Chandigarh to promote KFC Nashville Chicken.
The ATM required customers to answer few simple questions; however the machine dispensed a ‘Nashville Dollar’ irrespective of the number of correct answers punched in.
The day saw serpentine queues, with a large number of happy ATM visitors seen lining up to get a taste of KFC’s newest offering.
“The Nashville chicken has a cult-like following across the USA, and KFC is the first to bring this USA original recipe to India. In the past few months, everyone has seen that good things are worth the wait – whether at ATMs, or in life. We just decided to make the waiting a little more fun and rewarding. We wanted to make the launch as legendary as possible,” Lluis Ruiz Ribot, CMO, KFC India.
